祝福 [Blessings] - Sally Yip 葉蒨文 {Cantonese 87}

The lyrics are basically wishing some well. It spent almost half the song describing a beautiful scenery. The description of the scenery make you feel peaceful, then it talks about the past, how the protagonist’s friend had affected her feeling (either good or bad), but everything is over now and she wishes her friend all the best. There is a sense that the protagonist will never see her friend again, so this song was use on TV show quite often when someone passed away or immigrated to another country (because back then there were no internet, so communication was hard. Letter and phone were the only ways, but letter takes a while to reply and phone calls are expensive.)

pui wui cung lam jing zoek jyu
linger in the forest encounter rain

jim sap fung zung dik faat dyun
the hair ends catch wet from the wind

dai sou sai jyu lou jiu joek kwan gyun
lowly tell the drizzle the road is far if tired

zing kaau waan waan siu cou ji cing cyun
only rely on the bend of tiny grass rely on the clear spring

jau jau lau cyun ceoi lou zyun
leisurely flow the spring water follows the path's turns
ngau jyu saan zung zyun sou hyun
coincidentally in the mountain turns a couple circles

jat pin jyun jyun zim wong lok jip
a piece of soft gradually yellow falling leaf

dong hoeng cing kai zi zung zou piu jyun
toss towards the middle of the clear creek soon floats afar

aa gwo heoi gwo heoi do siu ci sam lyun
oh the past the past how many times of confused heart

ting ting niu jyu zing mong jyu si piu tyun
listen to the bird's speech quietly hope the drizzle drifts off

ciu ciu dik fung zang ngo cung sam zuk fuk jat cyun
the quiet wind wholeheartedly gives me one strand of  blessings

Ah.ah.ah. Sending you, sending you never-ending blessings
Gently drifting, seeking the faraway unending road
Borrowing the birds' twitter to add a little warmth to you on the road
Requesting the Breeze to offer my sincere blessings of a thousand strands
