INVISIBLE MAN
This song is dedicated, to my Hong Kong.
Doesnt matter, how difficult things use to be, how chaotic the environment is, you are still my home, always was, always is, always WILL BE.
This song is dedicated, to my Hong Kong.
Doesnt matter, how difficult things use to be, how chaotic the environment is, you are still my home, always was, always is, always WILL BE.
CHORUS: To love this piece of land, we will always remember, sad or happy, alive or dead, its still HONG KONG.
Regarding this place, you and I have the same emotion, the same thoughts, we are the same kind of people. Even though you’re busy and I’m busy and he’s busy, we all have different businesses, but we use the same phone book. Wan Chai, Harbour view…(different Hong Kong communities)…it’s still the same Hong Kong. All the big streets and little alleys string up to make this Hong Kong. We use to have a lot of factories, now we have a lot of banks, regardless of change, its still our Hong Kong. We’ve come across many hurricanes, some things dont change, (some more Hong Kong communities), we still have a lot of fog?(okay im fuzzy on this point, but im pretty sure he said something about fog) The new airport’s not so new anymore, and here we have a new island -old bus stop that we dont use, and some old building is still here. New attitude, new people, new company, new mayor, Whose in charge? I dont know. It’s basically black and white. Even through all these struggles, Hong Kong is still Hong Kong. We’ve seen a lot of shit, but Hong Kong people are still Hong Kong people. (LOL)
CHORUS
(okay this guy’s part’s in mandarin so i have no fucking idea really what he’s saying, but hes actually the best rapper) I wasn’t even born here, I’m from Singapore. (LULZZZZ) But things, I’ve seen a lot. There’s a lot of gossip I dont even listen to, but for myself to get famous, whatever. We talk about democracy, its just what inside of your head. you just have to listen hard for whats inside of your heart. Something something something. I’ve got good friends by my side, I’m feeling good. I know something something, but know that I support you always
CHORUS
If you were born here, then you’ve got to die here. Some people see this as a land of gold, some people see this as lucky land. Not everyone sees the same thing, someone might think this is just a piece of land. Some people do something, other people choose to deny. Something people think its an environmental or a human problem, We’ve got a lot of culture here. 7 million ants, its not easy to run together, heading in the same direction, we’ll find a common cause. If we’re the same people, why look down on other people? If we’re the same people, we can learn the same language. If somebody speaks another language, it doesnt mean theyre a different person. (okay, this is bullshit. Mainland chinese people are not Hong Kong people. Mandarin and simplified chinese are not Hong Kong. Case closed) I rap the police, I rap the government. We can fall, we can lose, get a mirror to look at yourself, Hong Kong people are the best at not relying on others, everyone relies on themselves. Not scared to die together, why be scared of starting over. If you want a place to stand, you must first stand on yourself.(HA)
CHORUS
…I need a little love from you…

hey! hello!
ReplyDeleteSo funny that someone will translate the Cantonese song.
I like you mention "Mainland chinese people are not Hong Kong people."
about the fog,
"太平山頂大帽山頂 依舊一樣大霧"
"Victoria Peak, Tai Mo Shan Peak, still a lot of fog"
太平山=Victoria Peak
大帽山=Tai Mo Shan
俗稱「大霧山」, Commonly known as "Smoky Mountains"
cause Tai Mo Shan always foggy like wearing a hat, that's why we call it 帽
