如果我有事 [If I have an accident] - Andy Lau 劉德華 {Cantonese 04}

The lyrics of the song are about what the protective thing will happen to his girlfriend if he had an accident and passed away. This song was the theme song for the movie “Yesterday Once More” (龍鳳鬥) from 2004. The movie was about a couple (played by Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng) that were once thief, but one day Andy decided to leave Sammi (as he got cancer). From memory, in their last case, they decided to steal a large diamond from a rich guy by Sammi pretending to get married with the guy. As they approach the end, Andy decided to pull away (to try to leave Sammi in a good hand before he die). Of cause, Sammi found out, but I am not planning to spoil the ending
I am worried that I might not have the luck to accompany you for your whole life.
I focused on how to make you happy such that you have something to remember about.
I am willing to believe in fate,
to see who will pass away first.

You are healthy while I is sick,
so I could only drag you down.
No doubt that I love you so much,
so how could I face the fact that I am losing the ability to take care of you.

If I just went out,
I might not be able to see you again.
But I believe in love,
so I tell you to remember me for the rest of you life,
no matter when and where we are,
we will see each other again one day.

If I passed away,
you will be very lonely.

How could you be happy if you is alone?
You don't have my luck to be able to pass away first,
at least I could reach heaven earlier.

But if I pass away,
then you will be living alone.
You will need to learn again to the end of the world to try to live on your own,
a protagonist without any supporting cast.

If I passed away,
you will be very lonely.
How could you be happy if you are alone?
You don’t have my luck to be able to pass away first,
at least I could reach heaven earlier.

But even if I passed away,
you could let another to be your protagonist.
But why would you care about trying to find someone new to replace me.
So it is my fault to say too much to get you mad
