蜚蜚 [Gossips] - Sita Chan 陈僖仪

This is a Chinese cover song of a original Korean song 시간을 거슬러 – Lyn.  The name of the song is the last two word of the Chinese phrase “流言蜚蜚” which means “A lot of gossip”The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist feeling towards her relationship with her boyfriend. It said that when she loves him, there are so many gossips. She heard that he treat relationship like a circus; he will forget after he got his happiness, he will dump it after he had admires it. So loving him she will hate herself as well. It felts like she is in love on the edge of a cliff, how exciting could that be? She won her love all because she is capable of lying to herself. The love below the falling wall, how much sadness could it bare? She hates herself as she knows that she should have avoided it. She hates to hear talk about her rights or wrongs. At the end she decided to blindly fall in love with him. Perhaps she deserved to die as she couldn’t live without him, but gossips helped him to turn the wrongs into right. If the love is wrong, she still doesn’t want to let go. It is cruel, so it is normal to cry. Love in a bitter and tasteless way, perhaps one day there would be a good ending to this relationship. Burying her own self-esteem in exchange for love. A relationship with a lot of gossips, there are too many challenges ahead, so they will be separated.
To love you, there will be rumors
I hear you treat love like a circus
Happiness becomes a memory; admiration becomes disdain
I love you; so I detest myself

Love on the precipice, how brilliant it can be
Wholly fooling myself that I can win your love
Love under walls straining under too much sorrow
I fear I should stay away

I refuse to listen to these rumors
I will blindly love you to the end
I am wretched, I cannot be without you
Gossip can even confuse black and white

Love with you on the precipice, how brilliant it can be
Wholly fooling myself that I can win your love
Love under walls straining under too much sorrow
I fear I should let go

If this love is false, I dare not find out
There should be cruelty; there should be tears

Bitter, tasteless love; could the walls come down
I buried my self worth for love
Love under the rumors, too much adversity ahead
Destined to break apart
