獅子山下 羅文 [A Song Of Hong Kong People / The Lion Rock] - Roman Tam 羅文 {Cantonese 79}

In life we are sometimes glad
But we'll also be sad
We together have met under the lion rock
Our joy is counted more than singing

In life there is rugged
Can't be without worries
on the same boat in Hong Kong we each help each other
Dump our difference seek for ways
Release those conflicts in our mind
Ideals chase together
Swear to stay with always
Be Brave Without fear

As we live in Hong Kong
With Hands to Overcome
We together used hard wworks to have written those
Hong Kong Immortal words

Release those conflicts in our mind
Ideals chase together
Swear to stay with always
Be brave without fear

As we live in Hong Kong
With Hands to Overcome
We together used hard wworks to have written those
Hong Kong Immortal words

  1. One of my favourite songs ! :)
I love the hope and encouragement it gives!
    Thanks again for the translations!!

Roman Tam is one of my favourite singers of all time and he sang this song 長城謠. However, i am not quite sure if he is the original singer...
Unfortunately, i can't understand some of the harder vocabulary so can you please post the translation for this song here? Thank you very much! :)
